First of all, what is rebuilding? What is renovation?

What is rebuilding?

This means demolishing the original house from the foundation down and building a new house in the same place. At Kobako, we mainly build custom homes, and we work with our customers to plan the floor plan from scratch, aiming to create the ideal home design.

What is renovation?

家族構成やライフスタイルの変化に合わせて間取りを変えたり、耐震補強、断熱改修など、建物の持つ元々の（新築当時の）性能以上に新たな付加価値をつけること。既存の基礎部分は残して、構造体（躯体）が見えるところまで解体し、新たに全ての間取りや内装をつくり直すことはスケルトンリノベーションと言い、１階だけリノベーションすることをゾーンリノベーションと言います。
